A network meta-analysis of 139 randomized controlled trials involving adults with knee osteoarthritis (KOA) found that knee bracing, hydrotherapy, and exercise were the most effective non-pharmacologic treatments for improving pain, stiffness, and function. These findings provide evidence-based guidance for clinicians in selecting safe and effective non-drug strategies for KOA symptom management, particularly for patients at increased risk for adverse effects from long-term use of NSAIDs.
