Researchers described a modified closed reduction maneuver for an irreducible volar distal radioulnar joint dislocation in a 34-year-old patient after computed tomography identified a Hill-Sachs-like bony locking mechanism. Following failed standard reduction attempts, a three-physician technique using axial traction, volar-to-dorsal pressure, and extreme pronation restored joint congruency and avoided open surgery in this case.
