Improving diet quality during adolescence is associated with healthy food parenting behaviors in fathers and better dietary habits in their children, according to a cohort analysis of 669 participants. The study suggests that adolescent dietary patterns may influence future food parenting practices and children’s nutritional outcomes, highlighting the relevance of adolescent diet in shaping early childhood environments and supporting further investigation into preconception health as a target for public health interventions.
