Automated insulin delivery systems, including hybrid closed-loop (HCL), advanced hybrid closed-loop (AHCL), and full closed-loop (FCL) technologies, have shown to significantly improve glycemic control compared to standard insulin delivery methods in type 1 diabetes management. These systems increase time-in-range and reduce time spent in hyperglycemia, with AHCL and FCL leading to the most significant improvements. However, further high-quality studies are needed, particularly for newer systems like FCL.
