A machine learning model has been developed to stratify the risk for postpartum depression at the time of hospital discharge, incorporating prenatal depression screening scores and clinical data. The model demonstrated good discrimination and could enable targeted interventions for prevention and early treatment, potentially improving postpartum care planning and outcomes.
