In this secondary analysis of a randomized clinical trial including 97 adults with complicated Staphylococcus aureus bacteremia, dalbavancin pharmacokinetics were influenced by kidney function, body weight, albumin, and age. Higher day 22 drug concentrations (>32 μg/mL) were associated with greater day 70 clinical success without increased serious adverse events, suggesting potential value of exposure-guided dosing.
