The College of Optometrists’ Optometry Tomorrow conference is just a few weeks away, and this year it incorporates the British Contact Lens Association’s BCLA Focus, thus promising to be a bigger event than we’ve seen before. The conference takes place on April 28–29 at The Telford International Centre – you can find program and registration details here.
This year, the College is looking for volunteer patients to take part in the event’s clinical workshops. Volunteers will receive a £25 fee per one hour session and travel expenses will be refunded. Patients with one or more of the following conditions can apply:
- keratoconus
- keratoconus patients who are existing RGP corneal lens wearers
- concomitant squint (eg childhood eso/exotropia)
- angle closure
- a congential incomitancy (e.g., Duanes/Browns)
- an acquired incomitancy
- anterior eye pathology
- lid malposition, punctal stenosis, epiphora, ectropion, entropion, known nasolacrimal duct obstruction
- glaucoma
