A randomized controlled trial, begun in March 2025, aims to evaluate the short-term effects of whole-spine manual therapy for adults aged 18 to 75 with cervical vertigo. The trial design involves three groups: synergistic manual therapy combining cervical and thoracolumbar techniques, cervical-only manual therapy, and a control group receiving no treatment. Primary outcomes include changes in vertigo severity measured by the Dizziness Handicap Inventory, with secondary assessments on blood flow velocity and overall health quality. The study, led by Chao Lu, will host 138 participants through December 2026, emphasizing safety and comprehensive monitoring of adverse events.
