A systematic review of four studies involving 1,622 patients demonstrates that cementless total knee arthroplasty (TKA) offers better implant survival and reduced loosening rates in obese patients (BMI ≥30 kg/m²) compared to cemented fixation. Notably, cementless fixation showed an 8-year survival rate of 99.3%, while cemented yielded 89.7%. The review indicates that with the rise in obesity and joint replacements, cementless implants may provide enhanced outcomes, yet more prospective trials are necessary to validate these findings.
