Bausch + Lomb announced a recall of its intraocular lenses (IOLs) due to reports of inflammatory reactions in some patients following cataract surgery.

The recall is a precautionary measure as patient safety remains the top priority. The affected lots are part of the enVista platform, and the company is actively working to identify the cause of these reactions. Despite the need for treatment, no patients required lens removal.
