A two-year clinical trial with 2,111 older adults aimed to compare the effects of a structured, coach-supported lifestyle program against a self-guided plan on cognitive performance. Results showed that participants in the structured intervention exhibited significantly better improvements in global cognitive function, particularly in executive function, while also experiencing fewer adverse events. The study highlighted the necessity of structured support in achieving better outcomes for those at risk of cognitive decline due to lifestyle and health factors.
