A global analysis of over 3 million sleep sessions from 21,222 users of the SleepCycle app reveals that 55.6% of these sessions ended with the use of a snooze alarm. Users pressed snooze an average of 2.4 times for 10.8 minutes per session. This behavior peaked midweek and varied by gender, with women snoozing for longer. Longer sleep durations correlated with increased snoozing, particularly among those with later bedtimes. The findings illustrate widespread snooze behavior across diverse demographics, highlighting the need for further research on its impact on sleep quality.
