Incyte's oral JAK1 inhibitor, povorcitinib, showed positive results in phase 3 trials for hidradenitis suppurativa, with efficacy outcomes slightly lower than in prior studies. The drug may offer an alternative for patients who do not respond to or are not eligible for biologic drugs. Incyte plans to seek regulatory approval for povorcitinib in late 2025 or early 2026.
