1. Early ezetimibe initiation within 12 weeks of myocardial infarction reduces major adverse cardiovascular events and cardiovascular death.
2. High-intensity statin use was prevalent across the patient groups.
3. A 3-year hazard ratio for MACE was 1.14 for delayed initiation of ezetimibe.
4. 55% of patients in the early ezetimibe group achieved the LDL-C target at 1 year.
5. The number needed to treat (NNT) over 3 years to prevent one MACE was 53 (95% CI, 32–125) when comparing early use vs no ezetimibe.
