The ACC announced that Cathie Biga, MSN, FACC, has been elected the 2024 to 2025 President of the organization. Ms. Biga currently serves as Chief Executive Officer of Cardiovascular Management of Illinois and has been a member of the ACC for more than 25 years, as well as a member of the ACC’s Board of Trustees for more than 6 years—where she has worked to enhance cardiovascular health-care delivery, innovation, quality, and economic sustainability. With more than 40 years of expertise as a registered nurse, service line director, and hospital vice president, Ms. Biga hopes to lead the ACC’s over 56,000 members in improving cardiovascular care, physician practice management, and cardiovascular health. “While my leadership in cardiology is on the administrative side, the end goals of optimizing patient care in physician-led teams and optimizing patient outcomes are the same,” concluded Ms. Biga.
