The American College of Cardiology (ACC) announced the 19 recipients of the 2024 Distinguished Awards, which were presented at Convocation at the ACC Annual Scientific Session 2024. The winners were selected for their contributions to the field of cardiology and to the ACC’s mission to improve cardiovascular health and care.
Among the awardees were:
- Harmony Reynolds, MD, FACC, who received the Bernadine Healy Leadership in Women’s CV Disease award
- Andrea Price, MS, RCIS, CPHQ, AACC, who received the Distinguished CV Team Member award
- Sandra Lewis, MD, FACC, who received the Distinguished Fellow award
- Thomas Marwick, MD, PhD, FACC, who received the Distinguished Mentor award
- Elizabeth McNally, MD, PhD, FACC, who received the Distinguished Scientist (Basic Domain) award
- Sumeet Chugh, MD, FACC, who received the Distinguished Scientist (Clinical Domain) award
- Michelle Albert, MD, MPH, FACC, who received the Distinguished Scientist (Translational Domain) award
- Suzanne Oparil, MD, FACC, who received the Lifetime Achievement award
- Herman Taylor, Jr, MD, FACC, who received the Pamela S. Douglas Award for Diversity and Inclusion
- Emily S. Lau, MD, FACC, who received the Douglas P. Zipes Distinguished Young Scientist award.
