Researchers developed and validated multi-parameter magnetic resonance imaging–based radiomic models to predict early neurologic deterioration in patients with perforator artery cerebral infarction, a subtype of small subcortical ischemic stroke. The combined radiomic–clinical model demonstrated improved predictive performance over conventional imaging features alone, suggesting that advanced quantitative magnetic resonance imaging analysis may help stratify risk and guide early management in patients with small vessel stroke.
