A 31-year-old woman experienced both nonthrombotic and thrombotic pulmonary embolism following pelvic varices embolization using n-butyl-2-cyanoacrylate glue. Presenting symptoms included pelvic pain, dyspareunia, and metrorrhagia. Imaging post-procedure identified glue migration into pulmonary arteries. Though initially asymptomatic, respiratory issues developed over 24 hours, necessitating treatment including anticoagulation and oxygen therapy. Continuous monitoring is critical post-embolic procedures, especially with larger glue volumes, as they pose increased risks for complications.
