Artificial intelligence systems were found to perform comparably to trained physicians in bronchoscopy, suggesting their potential role in clinical decision-making and training in pulmonary diagnostics. The findings indicated that AI systems accurately identified bronchial segments, classified lymph nodes, and interpreted cytology samples, with some studies showing AI outperforming human evaluators in specific tasks. Although the review revealed encouraging results, more research is necessary to validate AI systems in clinical environments and ensure consistent reporting standards.
