A multinational study analyzed 1013 women with a history of cervical artery dissection (CeAD), revealing that pregnancy does not elevate the risk of stroke, recurrent dissection, or death. Conducted by Sandro K. Fischer from the University of Basel, data from 33 stroke centers across nine countries was examined over a median follow-up of 5.3 years. Among women who became pregnant post-CeAD, 8.8% experienced adverse outcomes compared to 7.2% in those who did not. The findings support safe pregnancy counseling for women with a history of CeAD.
