A study of 896 postmenopausal participants found that greater menopausal symptom burden was linked to poorer cognitive function and increased mild behavioral impairment symptoms in later life. Each additional menopausal symptom was associated with higher ECog-II and MBI-C scores, indicating poorer cognitive function and increased neuropsychiatric changes. Hormone therapy use was associated with lower MBI-C scores, implying fewer later-life behavioral symptoms.
