A retrospective study found that vaccinating female patients aged 25 to 65 following surgical treatment for cervical lesions with the 9-valent human papillomavirus (HPV) vaccine significantly reduced the likelihood of a positive HPV test result. The study indicated that vaccination, even in patients aged 40 or older, had a statistically significant effect in reducing the proportion of those with a positive HPV test.
