A recent study conducted in China involved 838 women with low ovarian reserve undergoing in vitro fertilization. The study compared fresh vs frozen embryo transfer and found that the live birth rate was higher with fresh (40%) compared to frozen transfer (32%). There were no significant differences in neonatal complications, obstetric complications, or birth weight between groups. The researchers stressed the need for further research on treatment strategies to minimize the impact of fresh transfers on live birth rates in this population.
