A new cross-sectional study revealed pervasive medical gaslighting in patients with vulvovaginal disorders, leading over half of surveyed patients to consider stopping care due to dismissive experiences. Findings underscored the prevalence of dismissive behaviors, causing significant distress and potential delays in diagnosis and treatment. The study emphasized the need for systemic improvements in the clinical management of vulvovaginal disorders.
