This case report describes a 38-year-old woman who developed precursor B-cell acute lymphoblastic leukemia shortly after receiving a second dose of an mRNA COVID-19 vaccine and reviews published reports of hematologic malignancies temporally associated with vaccination. The authors outline proposed immune and molecular mechanisms and call for further mechanistic and population-level studies to determine whether a causal relationship exists.
