A randomized trial of 49 women undergoing bilateral breast reduction found no significant differences in scar appearance, patient satisfaction, or surgeon-assessed outcomes between Dermabond and Steri-Strips. Both dressings produced equivalent cosmetic and functional results at all follow-ups, with median satisfaction scores of 10. Researchers noted that Dermabond may be better tolerated by patients with sensitive skin, though its higher cost could affect choice.
