A recent study identifies low testosterone and insufficient sleep as significant risk factors for psoriasis in adult men. Analyzing data from 4,060 male patients aged 18 and older from 2011 to 2014, researchers found that men with testosterone levels below 300 ng/dL were nearly three times more likely to have psoriasis. Similarly, those sleeping less than seven hours per night had an increased risk. These associations persisted after adjusting for various health factors, suggesting hormonal and sleep interventions could lower psoriasis risk.
