The Epidermolysis Bullosa Simplex Disease Activity and Response Tool (EBSdart) showed high reliability among nine dermatologists assessing 80 patients with genetically confirmed epidermolysis bullosa simplex using standardized photographs. The tool achieved strong interrater agreement and consistent scoring across repeated evaluations, with highest reliability for truncal blistering. Researchers from Stanford University reported that EBSdart provides a reproducible framework for assessing disease severity and monitoring treatment response in both clinical and research settings.
