American Nephrology Nurses Association (ANNA) Utilizes Conexiant DXP to Boost Revenue Streams

January 01, 0001

The American Nephrology Nurses Association (ANNA) is the professional association that represents nurses who work in all areas of nephrology. Established as a nonprofit organization in 1969, ANNA has a membership of more than 6,000 registered nurses in almost 67 local chapters across the United States. Members practice in all areas of nephrology, including hemodialysis, chronic kidney disease, peritoneal dialysis, acute care, and transplantation. Most of our members work in freestanding dialysis units, hospital outpatient units, and hospital inpatient units.

Challenges:

Online learning continues transforming, and many associations, including ANNA, grapple with effectively delivering educational content to their members and non-members. One of the key challenges ANNA faced was adapting to the evolving demands of online education while ensuring continuity across various digital platforms. Additionally, ANNA needed to strategize content creation and delivery based on user feedback and evaluation results. Furthermore, the absence of a robust digital platform for online learning (at the time) limited efficiently managing evaluations, certifications, and revenue generation. Celess Tyrell played a pivotal role in helping ANNA leadership evolve their online learning initiatives and expanding their reach while strategizing the delivery of educational content through online platforms.

Solution:

At the direction of ANNA leadership, Celess Tyrell spearheaded efforts to streamline content creation, evaluation processes, and revenue generation through the adoption of the Conexiant platforms. Through this collaboration, ANNA effectively leveraged innovative solutions to address these challenges. The implementation of a comprehensive on-demand and continuing education (CE) system facilitated seamless content delivery, evaluation management, and education-related revenue tracking. Additionally, strategies such as bundling content, providing free access with paid credit options, and executing targeted marketing campaigns were employed to optimize user engagement and revenue generation.

Results:

The adoption of the Conexiant platform and strategic initiatives yielded significant results for ANNA.
•    180,000 Hours of educational content delivered
•    Over 559,000 CE hours Claimed in Platform
•    Over 10X Increase in library sales revenue since 2008

Key Outcomes:

•    Increased user engagement: The number of logins and evaluations completed within the platform saw a notable increase, indicating higher user engagement.

•    Revenue growth: Sales from online courses, on demand sessions, contact hour credit, and bundled packages steadily increased over time.

•    Enhanced user experience: The implementation of a unified digital platform for online learning streamlined the learner experience, making it easier for members and prospects to access educational content, complete evaluations, and claim contact hour credit.

•    Improved data analytics: Robust reporting capabilities provided valuable insights into user behavior, content consumption patterns, and revenue trends, enabling informed decision-making and targeted interventions.

Conclusion:

In partnership with Conexiant, ANNA’s leadership has positioned ANNA as the premier provider of online education for nephrology nurses. Leveraging Conexiant’s DXP platform and innovative approaches, ANNA has successfully addressed challenges, increased user engagement, and achieved significant revenue growth. Looking ahead, ANNA remains committed to using Conexiant solutions to further expand its reach, drive continuous improvement, and deliver exceptional educational experiences to its members.
